Hombre's passion for graffiti and street art started at an early age in the mid to late 1990's. Growing up in Mannheim's graffiti and hip hop scene, he didn't have much influence from other German street artists but has now considered this a great advantage as it allowed him to develop his own identity and unique style.
As a child of the 80's, his work is heavily influenced by popular advertising, Disney-comic style and, of course, by video games of that decade like Super Mario or Donkey Kong. His style stretches across comics and cartoons, and at times takes on a more realistic approach by incorporating reduced forms, hard edges, and a play of light and shadow.
